Hobart Whitley was known as the “Father of Hollywood”, he established over 100 towns across the United States but his crowning jewel was Hollywood.

Thought I would share one of my favorite little known things to do if you visit Hollywood this summer.

It came from the early 1910's and friends of H. J. Whitley (considered the father of Hollywood) in reference to his transformation of the existing lemon fields of the time into the area now known as Hollywood, CA.

See how Hollywood looked in 1931. It had changed immensely since H. J. Whitley arrived in the 1880's.
